EMO BANDS



                                                  

Since the creation of mankind, music seems to have been planted on our system. We have been very privilege to be able to appreciate the euphony of an orchestra as well as that of bands. Man is also able to create music on its own which makes us a higher level mammal than the others that were given birth to.
Now, music has evolved from just humming and whistling. Instruments were developed for humans to enjoy this type of leisure. Isn't it a joy to hear your favourite artist sing? And when you hear your favourite band play, don't you just want to bang your head along with the other million fans? If you're a rocker, you would definitely be aware of emo.
It is a rock music style that is often characterized by lyrics that has confessions from the singer to the listeners. It was formerly known as emocore which is the shortened version for emotional hardcore. Along with the progress of rock music, this music style was changed and blended with both pop punk and indie rock.
Are you familiar with the band called "Jimmy Eat World"? They are one of the contemporary emo singers. Theirs is a fusion of rock as well as pop punk. With their confessional lyrics, they can be classified as an emo band.
Dashboard Confessionals became more popular with the song "hands down". This band is also categorized as a contemporary emo band with their lyrics that seem to reveal some thoughts on love's other side.
There are also lots of other bands that are classified under the emo rock genre. Anyway, whatever it is the existence of bands that play rock music with lyrics that expose people's usual sad, emotional feelings was welcomed by several millions of fans. This led to the uprise of emo fashion.
So now, you know what emo really is and why it is often associated with "emo songs". there are lots of contemporary musicians and bands who do have emotional lyrics, but if they are not classified under the rock genre, technically they are not emo. Now, you know.
